Exquisite Selection of Fine Pearls

Size, luster, nacre, surface, color and pearl type determine quality and value of pearls.  Various mollusks and mussels produce pearls.  Most are farmed and nucleated with a bead implant.  Known as “Tears of Mermaids”, these gems of the sea are produced in many sizes and colors.  Freshwater pearls from large mussels, produce all types of beautiful pearls.

Pearls are porous and susceptible to staining by makeup and perfume.  After wearing, pearls may be rinsed with water and wiped clean with a soft cloth.  Silk cord, knots and threading should be checked periodically.
